Website!

Scarlett's Photoshop

I completed this website in 2 blocks and I think I did a great job which I didn't expect. Now I wish I had photoshop and Dream weaver. Seeing this class end makes me sad for what I have to leave behind. I'm very surprised about how easy it was to make a website. I figured it would take me forever to get it. I think I was very creative with the patterns I put together and the colors I used. I can toot my own horn here and say it's the best, but I won't do that. I'm sad to be done. This class went by way too fast.

Photoshop Swapping Skin "Zachbraff"

Zachbraff is a zebra giraffe.

I learned that I should not use google for my pictures. This project requires a lot of precision and grainy pictures are the devil's work. This turned out much better than I expected. I was irritated frequently so I had to use patience and breathing exercises at times. After figuring out how to better use the liquify tool I had a better time. Students should do this project around the middle part of the class because it's not too difficult and has all the basics in the tutorial. I'm proud that I was able to make zebra skin stretch all the way up a giraffe's neck without looking too fake. When I look at it now it almost looks normal to me that a giraffe should have zebra skin. I'd give this a 10!

Vector Art and Greeting Card

This is the longest project I chose during Photoshop class. I used 2 units as one. I vectored the microphone and the man's face and I free hand drew the squares and suits to add more color. I'm proud of the microphone and face because I took a really long time and worked very hard. In my eyes they will never be prefect but I can say I'm happy with the way they are now. My least favorite thing about this was the tutorials. Both were done by the woman and very hard to understand. I recommend this project last for any student. It's way harder than it looks. I really let my creativity go in this project but i also stuck to the original cover art concepts and colors. This is inspired by the Room On Fire album by The Strokes. If I could do this differently I may not have chosen this time consuming project. But, in the end I'm glad I did.
